Twenty O Nine and Twenty Ten

20-09
- new house
- new job for Sarah
- new job for Glenn
- new dog

I feel like 2009 was the year that never was. It went so quickly for me and I think part of that was because of all of the changes we experienced over the year. The best part is we did not anticipate ANY of these events occuring if you had asked us in January of 09.

21-10
- ??

Honestly, our 2010 is pretty open. We don't have any big trips planned or job changes (fingers crossed) and we are SO not moving again for at least ten years. We have a lot of time invested with the Village (our church):Recovery ministry every Saturday started last week, continuing to volunteer in the 5 year old room every Sunday, a new split form of our home group meeting on Friday's, lay biblical counseling class for me on Tuesday's and mentoring at Wednesday's. Praise God for Monday's and Thursday's! I have never been one to 'over-program' myself as I enjoy rest and laziness (if I am honest) to a fault. I am praying that all of these activities do not lead to an oversaturation and numbness to the things of God but to a focus on the things that are eternal instead of the things that are temporary.

And since I haven't updated since September, here is what you missed :

Things are going swimmingly in the Pratt household. We had a wonderful surprise in December when Glenn was offered a contract position with a new company. We are pretty sure it will turn into a full time job within a month or so. It was a long eleven months of being "under" employed. However, we were so blessed to still be able to go on vacations, continue contributing to investments, tithe, etc. during our own personal economic downturn. The Lord taught me a lot about where I put my trust (a lot of it was in my plan, my timing, and my own financial security). Work is going well for me, enjoyed the break SO much :) Came back to work just in time to get this Monday off for MLK. This is why I work in the schools! Our house is coming together finally, the guest room, living room, dining room, etc. are all decorated to my current satisfaction. We still have some work to do in the office but I'm in no rush. We are really enjoying our pets (when they aren't peeing on our stuff) as well. Zoey's personality has really come out since we got her, she is so sweet and excited when we come home. We are tempted to get her a buddy so we will see how long we can hold off on that!
